FIRST DAY AT PROJECT WALK

Hello everyone!

Ross here!  Today was my first day at PROJECT WALK!  After a brief introduction, I started doing my evaluation work with one of the original founders of the company, Eric.  Mostly it was testing me for muscle movement and finding out what I could do, but eventually the testing got harder and harder!  Some of the stuff would not be so difficult if my legs worked, but they don’t and it was tough!!  I couldn’t believe this was only the testing!

Finally I was turned over to a female therapist named Kim, and she had me doing leg weight machines.  I found out that my “glutes” muscles are functional, something that I didn’t know, and I was able to do some reps on the leg machine!

The last thing that I did was get hooked up to a special stationary bicycle that operated by hooking electrodes to my legs and shocking the muscles to make my legs peddle the bike.  When it was running by my own pedaling power, it was really weird.  I felt a burning shock on one electrode hooked to my butt, but it was not unbearable.  I peddled the bike for 15 minutes, and my first session was finished!  I can’t wait until tomorrow!

    Ross,
It is great to see you working out and making progress as well. If you need anything just give us a call, even if it is mowing your lawn. Brad is just as good behind a lawn mower as he is on a bike, haha. Brad, Lindsey, Chase, and I have the truck loaded and ready to head to Perris tomorrow for the ride day. Hope to see you soon.
    God bless!
    Lovell Family
